Optional Exercise- Fundamentality of Nature

Nature is a fascinating worldview that is very complex and detailed. Studies such as ecology and biology that help us understand how the organisms around us are formed as well as ourselves. Biology focuses more on the study of life, the fundamentals, and how animals are structured, going into great detail. While ecology focuses more on the relationship between organisms and the environment that surronds the organism. In the case of nature knowledge can be presented in few forms, but mainly through educational outlets is the knowledge presented. Since there is two subsets that tie into nature as a whole, focusing on one theme at a time is the best way to talk about the knowledge that they present. Biology’s main outlet for knowledge is by education, experts in the biological field have a good degree of schooling in biology. The same is to be said about ecology. But when talked about as a whole, nature can be presented in a general sense through outlets such as the internet and television. Educational channels like the discovery channel and animal planet give their audience good insight into nature and information about animals. Biology and ecology are communicated formally by way of a professor or an expert in the field. Having it be presented formally/educationally makes it harder to determine whether or not it is also presented collectively or individually. It leans more towards being presented individually because you are there to learn the information given to you.  While nature and/or animal studies does not necessarily have to be communicated formally, meaning you can learn about nature/animals in a setting that is not the classroom/lab or out in field work. Also, it is presented collectively rather than individually because the information is put out there for everyone to be able to learn and grasp if they want to. The prominent institution in this worldview are the academic institutions that carry studies related to nature, ecology, biology, and animal studies. Without them there wouldn’t be as much scientific research and knowledge about these topics. In this worldview religion is left out purposefully so that there is no underlying biases when finding out new discoveries. Mainly because science and religion have different ideas about some fundamental structures about human life. Experience in this worldview can happen through apparatuses such as science, method, reason, schooling, field work, and experiment. Since it is a science based worldview these are ways you can experience nature. These will lead to the identity of the worldview, which is then performed by giving the knowledge to others. This worldview is crucial in understanding the world around us because it gives us knowledge about all the life on earth! You are able to have a deeper appreciation and lucky we are to be human beings with such intelligence that our animal cousins are not capable of acquiring. In terms of electracy this worldview works the best with apparatus of literacy.
